So Jesus responded, “I don’t teach my own ideas, but the truth revealed to me by the One who sent me. If you want to test my
teachings and discover where I received them, first be passionate to do God’s will, and then you will be able to discern if
my teachings are from the heart of God or from my own opinions. Jn 7:16-17

STARTING TRUCKS IN OTHER STATES

ARE YOU STARTING TRUCKS IN OTHER STATES?

These are designed to be 10-15 minute meditation practices. If you don't complete the practice then good! Come back for more tomorrow and until it completes a work in your soul rhythms. Scripture Contemplation Guide: 1. Invite the Holy Spirit to speak, resonate, reveal, and renovate you. 2. Read through the Scripture passage, Journals, and Poetry writings while you take in the take in the landscape. What thoughts do these meditations provoke? What word or phrase pops of out for you as you enjoy time with Jesus? 3. Read slowly through the passages again and meditate in silence. What do you hear as you wait in God's presence? 4. Pray conversationally through the scripture to your good Father. Ask Him questions, tell Him about the things you are wrestling with in the passage. Cast your cares on Jesus, be candid, thorough, authentic, and most of all be you. 5. Now thank the Lord for the work He is doing in you and then come back for more as needed!

“The best story to be told, the best life lived that characterizes an outflow of the nature and character of Jesus is a “Partnership Narrative with God,” What is that you ask!  It is is the life that lives in pursuit with all of the the heart, mind, soul and strength, enjoying perfect union with a loving Papa who has provided everything for life through the finished work of His Son.

Now, To live out of a union with God and the Story of God... You must know His rhythms and you must know His story. Intimately! We are all well aware that there is a constant fight for who gets ownership of all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength! Statistics show that most Christians don’t know or understand the voice of God in their walk and still more have yet to experience their union with a loving Papa!
I suspect that this is what was happening in Jakes life. His Story is an example of the kind of unfortunate scenarios we have come to know in cultural christianity where the enemy makes enjoying our union with God almost non-existent!

Jake, The Rancher

Jake, the rancher, went one day to fix a distant fence. The wind was cold and gusty and the clouds rolled gray and dense. As he pounded the last staples in and gathered tools to go, The temperature had fallen and the snow began to blow.

When he finally reached his pickup, he felt a heavy heart, from the sound of that ignition, he knew it wouldn't start. So Jake did what most of us do, if we'd have been there. He humbly bowed his balding head and sent aloft a prayer.

As he turned the key for the last time, he knew he'd lost his luck, They found him three days later, frozen stiff in that old truck. Now Jake had been around in life and done his share of roamin' But when he saw Heaven, he was shocked -- it look just like Wyomin'.

Oh, there were some differences of course, but just some minor things, One place had simply disappeared ~ the town they called Rock Springs. The BLM had been shut down, and there was no grazin' fees, and the wind in Rawlins and Cheyenne was now a gentle breeze.

The Park and Forest Service folks -- they didn't fare so well, They'd all been sent to fight some fire in a wilderness called Hell and though Heaven was a real nice place, Jake had a wondering mind, So he saddled up and lit a shuck, not know'n what he'd find.

Then one day up in Cody, on a cold fall afternoon, He saw St. Peter coming, and he knew he'd be there soon. Of all the saints in Heaven, his favorite was St. Peter, Now, this line, ain't really needed but it helps with rhyme and meter.

So they set and talked a minute or two, or maybe it was three, Nobody was keepin' score ~ in Heaven time is free. "I've always heard," Jake said to Pete, "that God will answer prayers, But one time I asked for help, well he just plain wasn't there.

Does God answer prayers of some, and ignores the prayers of others? That don't seem exactly square ~ I know all men are brothers. Or does he randomly reply, without good rhyme or reason? Maybe, it's the time of day, the weather or the season.

Now I ain't trying to act smart, it's just the way I feel, and I was wonderin’ Pete, could you tell ~ what the heck's the deal? Well Peter listened very patiently and when Ol’ Jake was done, There were smiles of recognition, and he said, "So, you're the one!

That day your truck, it wouldn't start, and you sent your prayer a-flying, You gave us all a real bad time, with hundreds of us a trying. A thousand angels rushed to check the status of your file, But you know, Jake, we hadn't heard from you in quite a while!  And though all prayers are answered, and God ain't got no quota, He didn't recognize your voice, and started a truck in North Dakota.

Again, I don’t know what ultimately caused the disconnect between Jake and God but I suspect that there may be something that resonates a little bit at one time or another in each of us. Perhaps he had an association with the cultural christian clubs but didn’t understand how to live out the Story of God or to Apprentice with Jesus. It sounds like He knew of God but nothing of His hardwiring!
It begs the question: Is the quality of enjoying  your union with God only good for start'n trucks in other states?  That is not how you were hardwired!

You were Hardwired to enjoy perfect Union with a loving papa.
In Genesis, God takes the lid off of his intentions for us and lets us in on one of the most outrageous plans. In this plan, and after the creation of all things, He hands it all over to Adam and Eve as a gift that would give them full authority and power to be the rulers of the earth. It is in this portion of scripture that the true heart of God for mankind is found.

Genesis 1:26-28

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it;

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

It should come as no surprise then that we were made in His image and intended to exercise skill over everything that God has given us to do.
That we were meant to rule with His authority over everything the Father has given to us.
In the nature and personality of His Son.
And with the love, joy, hope, peace, and power of His Holy Spirit.

Spend some time enjoying your union with Papa in the ways He loves to spend time with you today!
