APRIL 18-20 Men's Adventure •Scott River • Forks of the Salmon rivers • and the Trinity RiversINFO: This Xcursion is fast paced, remote and is long in the tooth. If you are traveling by vehicle you may want to cut it short or make a mutiole day trip out of it by camping out in this remote wilderness. On a motorcycle or in a vehicle it takes approximately 6 to 8 hrs to complete the route in one day and is by far the most remote, scenic ride in the Pacific Northwest offering historical points of interest, old towns and several places for horizon viewing of the Marble, Trinity, and Klamath Mountain Ranges. These are the curviest, most remote, single lane paved roads, all located in the Scott River, Salmon Forks, and Trinity River Canyons. The terrain is rugged and often straight up and down along the roadside. If you are afraid of heights or suffer from vertigo then we will just say that this is a choice for the more adventurous traveler.

Recommended for early morning departure and into the evening travel especially during late mid to late Fall if you are diong it in a day. We will be camping in one of the hidden places on this Event. How Difficult is the Route? This BXR is without a doubt best enjoyed by motorcyclist's of a more adventurous nature. However the route is great in SUV's and 4x4's, and even passenger cars in good weather. For anyone wanting a great day trip or Hiking Destination. There are many offshoot adventures on this route that will keep you returning for years to come! On this route many of the roads are in remote areas and reach mid to upper range elevations where road maintenance is minimal or sometime non-existent. You can expect to cover sections of road with some loose rocks, steep drop-offs, and other challenges like maintaining your focus! Road conditions change in each season and based on the recent weather. When you see signs that read, “Roads maybe impassable when wet or icey”, use caution, roads become very slick and can be impassable. You may also encounter sections that have trees or branches, landslides and flashfloods over the road. There are alternate "easier" routes around a few of the most challenging sections when these conditions and weather make travel difficult. Need to Know: Always Fuel previous to your departure! Don't forget camera gear. Thunderstorms are always possible. Be Prepared! ABOUT THIS EVENT
These Events encompass a variety of venue opportunities ranging from Camping, RV's, and Lodging. We call them 'run what ya brung' events and we mean it! These events are designed for folks who love discovery, exploration, new experiences, community, and the pursuit of God's heart. So, it is open to all levels of wildness!
Some folks camp in tents, others in RV's, in a hammock, or off the back of a motorcycle. Others of us really like the idea of a fully furnished lodge setting.
You might be the folks who sleep in their car, or right on the ground. It's all good! Every evening after a day of Xploration we'll do dinner around the fire and challenge ourselves to live better in our lives, homes, and communities. Below you will find all the information you need to be a part of this Wild on the Path experience.
The Trinity Rivers and Mountain Range is a mountain fastness locked away deep in the rugged outback of the Northern California, Klamath Mountains; the Trinity Alps also known as Bigfoot Country are a mysterious alpine paradise that offers up some of the western United States' most spectacular, rugged and wild terrain. From unusual red peaks to vast stands of virgin timber to jagged granite turrets, the Trinity Alps are at once reminiscent of the more well known regions like the Sierra Nevada, yet are distinctly unique, with incomparable spectacles. Indeed, this is one of the great American wilderness regions. Few places offer such limitless vistas, spectacular peaks, rugged landscapes, varieties of terrain and biodiversity and sense of vastness as the Trinities. Yet, despite the superlatives, the Trinity Alps receive relatively few visitors. It is not unusual to arrive at one of the more popular destinations in the Trinities and find no one present. The unsung back country is isolation personified. However, whatever intangible qualities the Trinity Alps may have to recommend them, it is the alpine scenery, the ever seductive combination of conifer and meadow, rock and ice and the serene, frightening siren of falling water that will define the Trinities.
