The Map of Sonship

This book isn’t written as sanctimonious advice from someone who has never suffered from the blows from their own depravity, gotten their hands dirty, or had their heart broken. It is presented to you as an encouragement to go where most men and women do not go. It is an invitation to embark on a new journey and a call to courageously pursue the things that are real, honest, and true. You will have to turn over the skeletal lies, scars, and fears that you have buried deep within, and begin to discipline yourself to ignore the accusations of others who would leave you bound in darkness while embarking on a journey in the light, as you see yourself through the lens of Jesus. This is where Sonship redeems an ugly narrative and brings beauty into it. Ask yourself if you can allow the scars of your story to become the proof that you have embarked on a rescue mission to steal back from the enemy, your own heart then replacing it with a heart after God. Will you allow the paradigm of yourself to be shattered in trade for the restoration of the one your Heavenly Father has written on your heart and redeemed for you? I want to challenge everyone who reads this to awaken their hunger for moving forward in life with hope, to live true, and to become the person that God can entrust with so much more and more-so the things that pertain to life and Godliness. Our prayer is that you will enter the quiet, unvisited places of your soul and then exit having redeemed the most radical reorientations of you lifetime. A Rogue Story

Hebrews 1:9 says, Jesus was anointed with the oil of gladness “more than any of His fellows.” That is, He had a gladness about Him that was unparalleled in any other person. Truly, whoever looks at the Lord cannot help but be impressed with Him. One would think however, that the secret to such attractiveness, effectiveness, and joy would be very complex. One would think that Jesus must have understood esoteric mysteries and implemented difficult methodology. But such is not the case, for throughout the scriptures, we see the simplicity of the secret Jesus understood that produced in Him the life that was so successful and so beautiful. What was this secret? The very foundational principle that governed His entire life was His relationship with His Father. If I were to question you about the defining principle of your life, you might say, “It’s my ministry,” or “It’s my family,” or, “It’s this vision,” or, “It’s this attempt to see the kingdom grow.”  You might on the other hand, define your story as one that is full of tragedy, fear, rejection, failure, and disappointment. Regardless of your personal triumph or despair and as valid as those things might be, they are insignificant in comparison to your relationship with the Father. That’s all there is—no other agenda, no other failure, no other ministry, no other disappointment, no other vision, no other attempts to right all of the wrongs, and no other priority. By comparison to what had been my own tendencies, Jesus was so focused on His relationship with His Father that nothing else mattered. As a result, everything else fell into place beautifully. His life was fruitful. His relationships were special. His ministry was bountiful, and His Story is amazing! A simple walk of faith in Him is the only thing that will get your story moving in the right direction! The SIMPLE JESUS

The Simple Jesus is a short excerpt from my life, taken from a period of time shortly after my depravity had reached its depth and my self-righteous pride had reached a pinnacle. It is about how the Lord positioned me to unpack my sin, rid myself of pride and religiosity, and the simplistic work of Jesus in my life. It is His work that has renewed my heart, robed me in righteousness, and set me on the path of simplifying my walk with Him. Use it as encouragement for simplifying your faith and an opportunity to identify the work that the Lord has done in my heart and hopefully yours too!​

The Cool of the Day

What follows is a simple pattern of what I can only described as a walk in the cool of the day. It is how I went from work to rest! Genesis 5:24. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.  This book looks into the characteristics of an intimate relationship with our Father in Heaven that foster transformation on a supernaturally natural level. How it translates is unique to the story of every individual and puts us in touch with the author and finisher of everything that pertains to life as we know it. The principles below are based on relational theology for you bible buffs and are not intended to drive you into spiritual calisthenics rather, they are intended to assist you into the natural flow of what God has provided abundantly towards us. It is not intended to provoke a religious position or opinion rather an experience that will translate into something you have never personally seen in your walk before. The discovery points embedded in this brief passage of this scripture set a precedent in relational theology. That is to say that when the Spirit breathed this passage of scripture, He was engaging us and even daring us to embark on an adventure of discovery with the one true God. If you choose to explore these things for yourself I will personally guarantee that it will not only simplify your walk, but provide much needed rest, the renewing of your mind, the refreshing of your soul, and it will change the way you look at life as you see it through the lens of Jesus.

Getting Your Story Straight

You can't fully understand your own story or tale until you understand the story of God. His story defines the true characteristics of restoration and a glorious ending for all. Fact is... We all want it. We all need it! But, in the culture we live in, true restoration is not only illusive but often met with roadblocks, battles, struggle, and all too often the journey never looks like we thought it would in our own stories. These deterrents to living out a story authored by God come at many different times. Each season can look drastically different in each of our individual tales. Many good folks succumb to defeat, lies, dogma, and have often found themselves disqualified by the very piers they were depending on. Too often most christian institutions are more concerned about keeping the walls clean and the culture of christianity neato to see the process of restoration through if you are a misfit like me! This is why I have personally discovered that it is of utmost importance to understand the story of God, what His purpose is for us, and then begin to live out the story that has been so perfectly authored for each of us.​

What Can I Do? -by Janet Fairrington

God began to work something so deep in my spirit and so out of my comfort zone not to mention above anything I could ask or imagine that I really didn’t have a clue where the pieces of the puzzle were leading. I was driving into town one day: I always enjoyed the drive through the country, it took me about twenty minutes, so it was always a great time to pray. As I came into town, I began to be burdened for the lost, and the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “If you want to reach people for Me you have to be where they are.” I hated Medford. But I said, “Lord if that’s what it takes, change my heart.” Guess what? He did! But it didn’t happen overnight. During this time, I still had no contact with the mission, but Daryl was still on the board. I had come to the conclusion that God was finished with me. I had lived out my usefulness and been put out to pasture. And the thing that was burning in my heart that had been there since I was a young girl would never come to pass. I refer to it as the death of a vision. But there has to be a death before there can be a resurrection. My pastor says it is not that someone HAS to die; it is that someone GETS to die. Well, it was my turn. 71 So now I had passed the burnout phase of my life and moved right along to the death phase. It doesn’t sound very exciting when I put it that way, but as I look back, it is exciting to know when I was at my lowest points God was doing the biggest work in me. I was sitting in church one Sunday, in the back row. I was normally not a back row sitter, but I guess it was a real sign of what I was feeling. Part of the body, but yet distant, not having a place in the midst of the church. It seemed like a lonely place at the time, but necessary as I look back. It was a fulfillment of the word the Lord had given me when He said, “I am taking your ministry out of the church and into the streets.”
